It is always interesting to keep track of international mobile broadband news. In a recent blog post on MobileBroadbandBlog, the following stats were the key highlights from an analysis of the European Mobile Broadband market:

• The average mobile broadband bundle had almost doubled it’s monthly download limit over the last 12 months to 4gb
• Mobile Broadband Pricing in 2008 has fallen by an average of 4%
• In Ireland, Germany, Sweden and Spain the average mobile broadband plans are now significantly cheaper than fixed-line DSL internet services

European markets have always set the benchmark across many industries and the mobile broadband industry is no different. It’ll be interesting to watch the Australian mobile broadband market over the next 12 months to see if any of these recent trends are reflected in the Australian industry.
